Beyonce back at it Creole style

Beyonce is becoming known for her surprise musical experiences. And I say experience because listening to a Beyonce song and watching the video for the first time is an experience in itself. The superstar recently released a new song called “Formation” which pays homage to her southern roots in both sound and visuals.

The video was shot in New Orleans and in it there are references to the rampant violence against African Americans as well as Hurricane Katrina. In the song, Bey displays another layer of rawness, southern class, and hip-hop edge that was showcased her last song” 7/11.”

It is clear that Bey has no intentions  of turning down her realness anytime soon. She has reached a point in her career where music goes beyond just doing what is popular and she is changing the game without conforming to the glitz and glamour that define music industry’s standards.

Check out the video below.
